They must not have been very good pirates!

SARASOTA, FL (AP) -- A group of self-proclaimed pirates have been cited by deputies after setting up camp on a Sarasota County nature preserve.
A group of 13 friends decided to build their own pirate fort on Jim Neville Preserve for spring break. Preparations took four months.
They took furniture from old campsites they found there. The campers had skull-and-crossbones flags, pirate swords and a tiki bar stocked with booze.
The moved out to the island in late march, but eight days later, the pirate camp was raided by deputies. The campers -- ranging in age from 17 to 22 -- were charged with lighting illegal campfires and illegal camping on the preserve. Two campers were charged with marijuana possession.
Donald Ridenbaugh says he plans to fight the citations. He says deputies singled out his group, ignoring more well-established campsites on the island.
